Digital Transformation in the ESG Era — Building an Unstoppable Industry Through New-Era Platform Thinking

I am Chunying, a career development coach specializing in human resource integration. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Ms. Tzuo Ching Lin, President of Share-Information LTD, for her kind invitation, which allowed me to lead business owners from the Taoyuan, Hsinchu, and Miaoli regions on an in-depth visit to PDH Group’s Taipei Design Materials Center. It was an invaluable opportunity to personally witness the power of digital transformation in the ESG era. This visit not only gave us a firsthand look at the legendary one-stop building material procurement service but also featured professional insights from Mr. Wang Jen-Rong, Chairman of PDH Group, Ms. Tzuo, President of Share-Information LTD, and Zhou Xiao Ming, former Vice President of O’right International Corporation. Together, they helped us deeply understand that ESG is not only a key factor for corporate success but also a crucial criterion in future talent selection.

From the perspective of a participant, here is a recap of this inspiring experience:

  1. Thoughtful Check-in Arrangements – Professionalism Starts with the Details

As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by clear directional signage and an efficient, well-organized registration process. Personalized name badges and thoughtfully prepared coffee and snacks immediately conveyed the high quality of this networking event.

Additionally, the venue featured a dedicated booth area showcasing a diverse range of quality products and social impact initiatives. The BSW soundproof mat and SPC stone-plastic flooring demonstrated how innovative technology can enhance space quality, offering impressive noise reduction and environmental durability. Meanwhile, the “Geng-You” charity zone illustrated corporate social responsibility in action, enabling participants to engage in meaningful philanthropic efforts while networking. One of the highlights was a preserved flower charity booth initiated by Design Director Ms. Jing-Ya from C&L Design Group. The floral display, infused with a spirit of giving, attracted many guests. Several business leaders were inspired to make on-the-spot donations, making the event not just a platform for business exchange, but also a vessel for kindness and impact.

  1. Exploring the PDH Group's Tile Showroom – A Glimpse into PDH’s Strategic Vision

We were honored to have Mr. Wang Jen-Rong, Chairman of PDH Group, personally guide us through the PDH tile showroom. He shared his keen market insights and a broad vision of the imported tile industry, all while demonstrating how ESG values are woven into their business strategy. His entrepreneurial journey was especially moving. The group’s core values of "Diligence, Integrity, and Agility" left a strong impression on all attending business owners. One moment that stood out was when he recalled humming the song “I Am a Cloud” during his first taste of success—his sense of confidence and fulfillment was both touching and inspiring, filling us with hope for our own futures.

  1. Lunchtime: Cross-Industry Networking and ESG Insights

While enjoying delicious lunches and fresh fruit, we also conducted a survey to better understand attendees’ awareness and needs regarding ESG. This was followed by group discussions where business owners from various industries shared their challenges and solutions. These valuable exchanges enriched everyone involved. A special surprise awaited us before lunch—we were invited to the rooftop of the Taipei Design Materials Center. With panoramic views of the city, including the iconic Taipei 101 and planes soaring overhead, the warm sunlight lit up the smiles of everyone present. It was a powerful metaphor for the inspiration and energy this visit brought.

  1. ESG: From Productivity to Survival – A New Era of Zero Carbon Sustainability

In the afternoon session, Mr. Zhou Xiao Ming, former Vice President of O’right International Corporation, delivered a compelling speech. Using relatable examples, he highlighted the importance of carbon reduction through ESG. He emphasized, “If you start doing ESG now, it's about productivity; if you wait until later, it's about survival.” This powerful message drove home the urgency and significance of ESG not just for the building materials industry, but for all sectors striving for competitiveness. Even the Fintech industry is embracing ESG. Mr. Ray Hu, President of Xunke Technology, was invited by Ms. Tzuo to share how digital technology is revolutionizing traditional business models to achieve carbon reduction. With no physical office, their company operates entirely through remote digital work, significantly reducing its carbon footprint. AI bots automatically deliver daily financial reports, enhancing both efficiency and transparency. This innovative approach reshaped our perception of modern business operations and showcased the limitless possibilities of work in the ESG era.

  1. Share-Information LTD’ Carbon Reduction Services and Sharing Platform – Pioneering a New Business Model

Finally, Ms. Tzuo generously shared the carbon reduction services offered by Share-Information LTD, particularly the “SHARING A+ Knowledge Sharing Community.” With a vision of “Sharing + Co-Prosperity + Win-Win,” this platform integrates consumers, businesses, and suppliers, creating a collaborative ecosystem for mutual growth and benefit. What’s even more remarkable is that this model not only supports business development but also contributes to public welfare, truly achieving a win-win between enterprise and society.

Conclusion: An Inspiring and Empowering Learning Journey

This visit provided me with not only innovative business insights but also a clear reflection on my own areas for growth. In today’s VUCA world—marked by volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity—it is more vital than ever to have an integrated learning platform. Fortunately, Ms. Tzuo understands the needs of business owners and is committed to offering truly valuable opportunities for learning and development. She also reminded us that while running our businesses, we must not forget our social responsibilities and the needs of disadvantaged communities. I look forward to more opportunities like this—ones that allow us to keep learning, growing, and stepping into the limitless potential of the ESG era.

Looking forward to more visits like this in the future, where we can continue learning, growing, and embracing the limitless possibilities of the ESG era together!
