Since 2016, General Manager Kevin Hsieh has been dedicated to the green energy sector, focusing on the development of small hydropower. He successfully established Taiwan’s first small hydropower plant in Yilan, becoming a green energy supplier for TSMC. After leaving the industry, he returned to his family’s food business and founded ShifuJi Foods in 2023, aiming to create a representative Taiwanese food brand. At the same time, he established an energy company to promote agrivoltaic projects, integrating solar power plants with agriculture. One initiative includes an AI-powered indoor goose farming system to enhance breeding efficiency and reduce risks. Additionally, he founded Hui Ju Farm, connecting agricultural production, processing, and sales to achieve a fully integrated supply chain. He emphasizes that businesses should proactively respond to the 2050 net-zero carbon emission trend, working together towards sustainable development and contributing to environmental protection.
Digitalization-Driven Business Innovation and Transformation
President of Xun Lei Technology— Ray Hu, shared his experience of transitioning from a veterinary background to the fields of finance and technology, and discussed the importance of digitalization and digital transformation. He pointed out that Taiwan's work culture places a strong emphasis on office attendance, but through the use of digital tools and outsourcing collaboration, he successfully ran a company without a physical office. He provided examples of how digitalization improves efficiency, such as McDonald's tablet ordering system and ESG initiatives, as well as Taishin Bank's digital account transfer system. Mr. Hu believes that digitalization does not necessarily require a full-scale solution; gradual optimization can lead to digital transformation over time. He emphasized that traditional industries should undergo transformation through digitalization, optimizing existing processes to enhance work efficiency and business operations.

Director Jing-Ya from C&L Design Group shared insights on integrating apartment design with sustainability, emphasizing how eco-friendly materials and human-centered design can create aesthetically pleasing and environmentally responsible living spaces. Participants found the cross-industry exchange valuable, fostering collaboration among designers, architects, and material suppliers to drive a more integrated and sustainable future.
The event also featured a charity sale, where Director Jing-Ya handcrafted preserved floral arrangements for auction. All proceeds were donated to a meal fund for underprivileged groups, spreading warmth and care.
